donal and i started dating on february 6th, 2001.
{so in 3 days from now, we will have been together for 10 years!}
on december 2nd, 2005, donal got down on one knee and proposed. after saying YES!, i told him that all i wanted to do that night was to pick a date... so we picked a day in november 2006...
a few days after the engagement, a friend jokingly suggested we get married while we are on our ski trip in february.
ha! no way! funny joke! why wouldn't we want a traditional wedding? i want to PLAN my wedding! i want a wedding dress!
a few days passed... this idea started to sound better and better.
so, in 2 short months, we planned our ski-trip-wedding!

5 years ago today, i stood on top of durango mountain ski hill and said my vows to my best friend. i meant every word of those vows. and i thought that i loved him with all of my being then... needless to say, i still find myself falling harder every day. he is still the man that i can't imagine spending my life without. he still makes me laugh every day. and even through the cold and rough seasons of our marriage, we still love each other unconditionally. i am so incredibly proud of the man that he has become.
